Celebrated socialite, Zari Hassan, is relieved and thanking heavens after recovering her Instagram account which had been hacked for the better part of yesterday.
The hackers demanded for $4000, writing in the bio of her page which had been changed to, YouAreHacked.
It is not clear whether Zari gave in to their demands. She has not said anything yet about the recovery. Her recent post celebrates her daughter's birthday, Tiffah. "I have no words to express what you mean to me," her message reads in part.
Clearly, her fingers were itching to post that message. Tiffah, herself, has an Instagram account with over 1 million followers. Tiffah shared pictures from her birthday shoot in which she looked resplendent in a small white gown. In one picture she was smiling and she said that was her mood all day.
Her mother was not to join in the celebration only until she could recover her account. Zari has 4.2 million people following her.
Hackers are running wild, and they have caused a scare on the internet. A number of celebrities have lost their accounts, among them; Anne Kansiime and MonaFaces.
Mona and Kansiime have since opened new accounts. Luckily, people are drumming up for them, and their followers are building up again in droves.
